#Testify! The Day God Turned Himself Into A ‘Match-fixer’ For My Sake

In 2005, I lost my job and at the same time left the house of my uncle I was working for and staying with. It was a really cool job for my age which I loved very much.

The day I left home, by 19:00 hours in the evening I did not know where I was going to sleep. I had earlier called a few of my friends and relatives but no one was willing to offer me a place to lay my head even for a night.

It was getting dark fast and I started panicking. I was at a shop just near Millennium bus stop at Lusaka town Centre. For the last time, I made a call to one of my friends and bingo he was just about to leave town. He was at Hungry Lion, near Lusaka City market. I rushed to meet him and told him that I needed a place to stay until I get ‘organized’.

He took me to their apartment at New Londe Lodge behind Shoprite in Matero. My friend was staying with his mum and his 10-year-old young brother. He introduced me to his mother who took one closer look at me and then just hugged me and said ‘Jay you are welcome’. She must have seen the stress and agony on my face.

My friend and I used to sleep in one of the rooms that was also being used as a kitchen. I did not mind at all because I was extremely grateful to this wonderful family for taking me in at my most desperate hour.

This whole experience reminded me of what the scripture says in the book of Jeremiah.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”— Jeremiah 29: 11.

Brethren, It’s not a cliché. God does have a plan for you. His plan is to give you a prosperous end. Trust GOD. He will make a way. Things may appear very bad for you right now but there is somewhere out there whom God has sent specifically to help you out of that difficult situation. Continue praying as God does a bit of some ‘match-fixing’ for you.
