Tamary Kudita was honoured with an award in the Theatre and Arts category, at the recently Forty Under Forty Global Awards in Dubai, in recognition of her contributions to photography. Kudita was one of 17 outstanding individuals from 17 different countries, honoured on the night.

Sharing the news on social media, the photographer expressed gratitude to her support system and motivated fellow creatives to keep on dreaming, despite their surroundings.

“I am deeply thankful to the Forty Under Forty Global Awards, my family, friends, my supporters, and most importantly, God,” she said.

“To the creatives reading this, and to everyone else, I’d like to offer this encouragement: Don’t be discouraged by your surroundings because your blessing might not look like what you imagined.”

The Forty under 40 Global Awards identify, honour and celebrate international icons, a cross-section of the world’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age forty from a wide range of industries, who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service and have risen the ranks of their companies or industries at a relatively young age.

The Forty Under Forty Global Award is another feather in Kudita’s cap. The accomplished fine art photographer, scholar, and visual artist was awarded the Photography Award at the 2025 Xposure Festival, and she has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Open Photographer of The Year title at the 2021 Sony World Photography Awards.

Tamary’s photography captures the complexities of gendered identities within imagined paradises and highlights the significance of everyday acts, particularly cooking, in forging strong family bonds. Her artwork challenges dominant narratives and references colonial-era expansion and trade.
