Renowned Swiss Sound Designer Nicolas Field is in Zimbabwe working on a multi media project with Netsayi Chigwendere. They’ll be hosting a unique Sound Design Workshop set to explore the possibilities in the world of sound creation.
Since the early 2000s, Field has travelled through Europe as a drummer with various bands and musicians (improvised music, contemporary music and jazz). He also is a founding member of the “n-collective”, has worked in dance and theatre, as well as the visual arts in the form of sound installations. He has received multiple awards and was artist in residence at the Swiss Institute in Rome in 2010-11 and AirAntwerpen 2011 prior to this residency. The Workshop which is free will be held on Saturday 14th January 2017 from 10AM – 12 PM at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Harare.
