St Emmo and Sylent Nqo collaborate on a less-is-more appeal single from the former’s recently released album Abstractica. The new Love Default music video sets a brand new pace in Zimbabwean visuals and direction. The four-minute video sees St Emmo significantly far from his decks but having relaxed conversations in a bar/pub setting. Sylent Nqo all the while looking like a rock star does the most with his magic wand/guitar.

The occasional shift of moody, cold lighting to the warm nostalgic friends-in-a-bar vibe makes for a brilliant transition. Emmo embodies what we can only assume is the spirit of sound in boss mode, smoking a cigar, having his whisky neat; then eventually walking off with Sylent’s guitar at the video’s end.

Sure the brand placements in the video are a little too obvious but it’s hard to care too much about them while so much going great in the video which was produced by Teekay who we wish we knew more about. The location choice is pretty cool too.

Love Default is a creatively produced visual from an unequivocally talented pair.
