Saturday the 27th of May, Harare experiences yet another Amapiano Explosion at Longcheng Plaza Park.
Without a doubt the home of Amapiano, the Fiesta Fiesta music festival continues to bring headline acts that are the very best in the genre. The festival kicked off the year with Musa Keys, then celebrated it’s 6 year anniversary in March with Nkosazana Daughter and then gave us Focalistic for a pre-Independence Day party. This month is once again more of the same as the festival hosts Sir Trill.
The South African singer and producer has worked on some of the biggest songs in the Amapiano genre. Hits under his belt include Yini Sdakwa, John Wick, Kuwe, Nkantin, and Banyana among others. He has one of the strongest catalogues in the genre and he regularly collaborates with piano’s heavy hitters like Kabza De Small, Dj Maphorisa, Murumba Pitch and the likes of Daliwonga. Late last year Sir Trill released his album Ghost.
The Amapiano singer will be supported by Zimhiphop’s finest talents in Saintfloew. The Dj lineup will feature Chucknosis, Fujee, Dj Storm, Zulu, Confie, MC Cut, Madeherbelieve, and Tinashe.
Established by Chuckie “DJ Chucknosis” Kofi-Teye Ayisha, Fiesta Fiesta is an outdoor event that has been running in Harare for over 4 years now. They’ve had pauses for various reasons like the Covid-19 pandemic within that period but the brains behind the event have always managed to bring it back. They host it once a month when it is running and it always features a long list of some of Zimbabwe’s most talented DJs.
For most of 2022 the event called Alex Sports Club home but kicking off 2023 they switched to Longcheng Plaza’s Adult Park. The event has maintained standard tickets at $10 each with an early bird discount of $5.
