Zimbabwean Actress and Playwright Danai Gurira really can have it all! If she’s not slaying zombies in the Walking Dead, she’s leading an Afrofutristic Army in Blockbusting Black Panther! Now the melanated hero adds some much-welcomed colour to the Reebok line of activewear.
Reebok made the announcement first via their Social Media channels heaping tonnes of praise on the 40-year-old star as part of their ‘Be more Human Campaign’.
She’s an actress, a writer, an advocate for women around the world, and so much more. Today, we’re proud to welcome @DanaiGurira to the Reebok family. https://t.co/1qyYz53JG5 #BeMoreHuman pic.twitter.com/MF3BNdx4yI

The official Campaign includes a letter penned by Danai to her younger self with powerful words of encouragement and affirmation;
“Dear Younger Self,
You’re on the right track. You really are. Trust that…Make your own rules and stick to them.”
Danai joins women such as Israeli beauty and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and Pop-sensation Ariana Grande. Although this is her first major activewear campaign Danai is no stranger to physical fitness. Recently she absolutely owned the cover of Women’s Health. The star also highlighted in a statement that she’d like to use the platform to promote mental and physical health.
Haibo! Yaaas sis, come for everything!!
We are right behind you singing ”makorokoto’! (Congratulations in Danai’s mother tongue, Shona.)
