Ghanaian charismatic prophet and the General Overseer of Prophetic Hill Chapel (PHC), Nigel Gaisie, reportedly claimed that he can raise one of the greatest basketball players in history, Kobe Bryant from the dead for a nominal price of only 10% of his net fortune, which would be somewhere between 50 and 100 million dollars.
The former Los Angeles Lakers player, 41, passed away along with his daughter Gianna, 13, and other seven last week on Sunday morning when a helicopter they were on crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California. The Los Angeles Times reports the crash caused a bush fire that made it difficult for firefighters to reach the vehicle.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, though the Times reports foggy conditions may have made navigation difficult for the helicopter’s pilot. Bryant, who lived in the area for most of his life, often used helicopters to beat Los Angeles’ heavy traffic, and on Sunday he was taking Gianna to play in a basketball game at his academy outside the city.
While the world is still in shock over the NBA’s star’s demise, Prophet Gaisie went a notch to use his pulpit authority to make made a grandstanding claim over Kobe.
During a church service where he was encouraging his church to pray in “tongues,”, the charismatic cleric informed his following that he will raise the recently deceased basketball player and his daughter from the dead for a price.
Prophet Maisie was quoted saying,
“The Lord just took me into the spirit world, and I have seen a great man fall…This news will shake the entire world because of how great this man is. I see a lot of people on social media talking about the man for weeks to come, and I see a lot of sad faces.”
“America will mourn this great man. The Lord then instructed me to announce to the family of this man, the American Embassy in Ghana and the entire world that He the Lord has not sanctioned the death of this man.”
Recalling his supposed conversation with God, he said,
“He again said to me, ‘Nigel, tell the family of this man and tell the entire world, should they agree to pay my tithes and offerings I will use you as a vessel to bring this man and his daughter back to life.’”
Prophet Nigel asserted that without the 10% offer, there was no way he could bring the man and his daughter back to life because that was the instruction given to him by God Himself.
“The man is worth 500 million dollars and should the family agree to give 10% of his income to me, I will bring them back to life. Thus sayeth the Lord! Without the money, I cannot bring him and the little girl back.”
Prophet Nigel Giasie after making these declarations asked his congregation to pray in tongues and thank the Lord for wanting to use him and their church for such a great miracle.
He went on to admonish the congregation to make sure the message reaches the American consulate in Ghana, the family of the late Kobe Bryant, and also warned his congregation not to doubt the words of Almighty Jehovah or else face some serious repercussions.
Prophet Gaisie joins the ranks of exactly zero Biblical prophets who are recorded raising people from the dead for cash.
A highly controversial cleric in his country, his prophecies are regularly in the news.
At one point, reports indicate that he was wanted for arrest for imprecatory prophecies of the local government’s peace council, although some deny it.
Last year, he changed the name of his church from True Word Prophetic Fire Ministry (TWPFM) to Prophetic Hill Chapel immediately after his prophecy about the death of musician Ebony Reigns, came true. Ebony Reigns lost her life in February in 2018 after she was involved in a ghastly motor accident in Sunyani-Kumasi road. Some fans of the songstress brought the prophet under heavy criticism but that did not deter him from carrying out his duties as a messenger of God.
Mostly recently Prophet Gaisie was busted for making New Years’ prophecies which were plagiarised from an Islamic cleric.
