Zimbabwean food takes centre stage on the recently launched show, My Zim Plate. This is the Zimbabwean franchise of DStv’s popular My Plate show. So far in existence, there is My Naija Plate, My Kenyan Plate, My Zambian Plate, with more set to come.
My Zim Plate is presented by Bernadette Mutangara. A foodie and self made chef who beat out competition from 19 other shortlisted candidates in MultiChoice’s open call for a presenter. This was revealed in a statement by Liz Dziva, Publicity and Public Relations Manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe
Bernadette was selected from the final shortlist of 20 candidates and she’s going to be a hit as the person who showcases our cuisine styles and delicacies to food fans in a great many African countries. It’s always exciting when Zimbabwe features in a dedicated show and this time the focus is on food, so we hope that the unique ingredients, styles and preparation features of our cuisine will provide culinary thrills to viewers who really enjoy the cooking entertainment genre.
My Zim Plate will see Bernadette Mutangara taking people on a Zimbabwean food journey. She has already introduced her audience to recipes for local delicacies like chicken feet, must try foods in Zimbabwe and some of those treats to satisfy that sweet tooth craving.
My Zim Plate shows Honey TV, DStv channel 173 and iy is also available on GOtv SUPA. It is Africa’s First Original Lifestyle Channel.
