The songstress was in Zambia over the weekend performing at the Big Turn Up Zambian Edition. Ammara was part of the three headlining acts, sharing the stage with South African Gqom duo, Destruction Boyz and Ghanaian superstar, Mr Eazi.
This was her first Zambian encounter ever since she thrilled the Vic Falls Carnival crowd which included Zambians on the eve of 2018. The 20 00o strong crowd which filled Queensmead Ground in Lusaka, was left asking for more by the self-styled ‘Barefoot Goddess’.
Other Zambian acts who also tore up the stage are Mampi, Wezi, Jay Rox and many more. Zimbabwean soulful Afrofusion singer Bryan K also joined Ammara in this foreign assignment. Rumour is that Ammara worked on a collaboration with a Zambian artist, hmm!
This year has been going well for Queen Mukoko, who was also headlining this year’s ZimConnect UK alongside a bevvy of other local acts. Will she maintain the momentum?
