Pastor G Celebrates 50th Birthday with New Song & Video

TODAY, urban contemporary gospel vet and one of the most decorated and recognised gospel singers in Zimbabwe, Pastor Stanley Gwanzura, popularly known as Pastor G, turns 50 years old. 

Social media is replenished with birthday wishes to the minister.

Top comedian Carl Joshua Ncube posted:

“dearest Pastor Gee 50 is an epic age to be!!!! Thank you for being such an awesome personality to me and my wife you are always just such a cool guy! Wishing you an amazing day! Happy Birthday to the real GEE!!!!”

Event planner, speaker and author of several books including The Evolution of African Marriages, Marshall Shonhai, wrote:

“Here’s to a big 50 not out my pastor, my friend and my big brother. Pastor Gee I celebrate you today and I thank the Lord for you. To think I have known you for 21 of those years! Award-winning producer and musician MacDonald “McDee” Chidavaenzi, said:

Born in Zambia, the “street preacher” as he is sometimes called, has been a vessel of worship for the past two decades alongside stars like Mechanic Manyeruke, Freedom Sengwayo, Jordan Chataika and Jonathan Wutawunashe paving the way.

Now celebrating 20 years and counting, the musician has released 11 albums that include Tariro, Freedom Rugare reflections of a street preacher, Indestructible, My Home: Psalms of Street Preacher, Diary of a Street Preacher: I Worship You, Unstoppable, Tidings of love, Tamiriria Legacy 1610: A Rhythm, Worship, & Praise Experience, among others.

He has shared the stage with top international gospel acts including Kirk Franklin, Dietrick Haddon, Ron Kenoly, Israel Houghton, Andrea Crouch, Aaron Rimbui, Kanji Mbugua and Ephraim Mutalange.

The juggernaut muso believes that gospel music is the voice of God that should be understood by all nations, ethnicity, personality, history and cultures in all languages. Gospel music, he adds, should be a powerful tool in provoking the presence of God for everyone to know and receive salvation regardless of their age, nationality or race.

Meanwhile, to celebrate his fiftieth born day, Pastor G has roped in OneHeart Worship and Tasha Place for his new song, Versace neBhachi. He described the song as “a song of hope in trying times”.
