Mokoomba is currently building up to their 4th album set for release later this year. The journey to the album was announced with the release of the single Nzara Hapana.
The song perfectly captures the sound Mokoomba is widely known for. Nzara Hapana has subtle, almost delicate instrumentation that is punctuated by emotive vocals. Modern and traditional instruments are combined to deliver a Pan-African sound that transcends languages.
Nzara Hapana carries strong elements of Soukous but at a much calmer tempo.
It is often said truly good music is not only heard but felt and Nzara Hapana is that kind of record. It serenades the soul and it is a brilliant display of the multitalented and multilingual band. It provides firm footing for their upcoming project.
The band is currently embarking on a countrywide tour that kicks off in Mutare this weekend.
