Nutty O is telling the haters they’re too late if they were hoping to see him fail on his latest release. A brilliantly composed single that affirms that his presence at the top of the music charts is far from being a fluke. To note his latest lyrics, he’s rolling.
Oh my g I’m glowing
Tell my haters I’m sorry

Makanonoka is the latest single to come from one of Zimdancehall’s favourite sons, Nutty O. An amapiano infused dancehall track, that features infectious rhythm, catchy lyrics and soulful vocals. A clear sign to see that Nutty O is picking up right where he left off with his highly acclaimed album Mustard Seed in 2021. An album that was recently featured on a curated list of standout works from the country by Apple Music, in celebration of Zimbabwe’s Independence Day!
The track sees Nutty O once again collaborating with DJ Tamuka, who brilliantly balances different sounds on the instrumental to produce a track that has the very best of both the amapiano and dancehall sound.
Makanonoka has a celebratory tone to it and it’s a track that talks of triumphing, with it being too late for whoever hoped to see Nutty O to fail. This conveyed feeling overcoming and attaining achievement is one that’s easily relatable and has already seen the song rise to the number one spot on Star FM’s Hit List.
As if the song’s composition alone isn’t enough to set it apart, Nutty O collaborated with South Africa based director KMANE for a brilliant piece of cinematography that is the tracks video. The shooting of the captivating and emotive visuals was described by KMANE as an experience like no other.
We have the responsibility to tell African stories as authentic as we can. I really love shooting in these areas. The texture and mood is like nothing else. We shot this video in Epworth, Zimbabwe. An experience like no other
