Nomusa Is All About A New African Genre Titled Ndaramu Trap

There are all kinds of songs coming up lately. It is so refreshing to see artists grow and push limits to drop badass tracks. Fish f Mcswag dropped a new track called Nomusa, it is good to see that Bulawayo artists continue to raise the bar musically. If I could be frank I am sick of the riffraff people have been calling new music lately. Someone smart once said “Creatives create they don’t duplicate” and such is the case with Fish f Mcswagg.
Of course we could dedicate a whole paragraph to that name but his new single makes up for it.
Nomusa is Ndaramu trap which is a brainchild genre of Fish f Mcswagg and Larnynx; a mixture of new school riding on older sounds. I found this mash up really interesting; the concept is fresh and relatable.
Deep 808’s for the cool kids, intense lyrical content for an older audience.

Nomusa is a love jam with a laidback vibe that truly brings back the old days to the new. For all the ‘older’ folks it is a breath of nostalgic air much reminiscent of the iconic Mbira dzeNharire with a new school hook to it. I can’t get over the concept and for that, hands up to Fish, this was a brilliant move!  Fish, or as he is known by his family as Ultoanang Valela has vocally dabbled with various genres such as Hip Hop, House, Afro-pop and now Ndaramu Trap. He is working on his new offering an album titled ‘Oceans of Ndaramu Trap’ which will feature a number of familiar faces in Zimbabawean music.

Have a listen to Nomusa and tell us what you think.
