The Nigerian gospel sensation Ada Ehi, is set to perform in Zimbabwe this coming May. Confirmed in a social media post by organisers Gateway Stream Media, the singer’s concert will be at the Harare International Conference Centre on the 6th of May. A month that will also see Harare host UB40 featuring Ali Campbell.
The concert is set to feature several local gospel acts: Everton Mlalazi, Ellard & Sharon Cherayi, Janet Manyowa, Nyasha Mutonhori and Minister Mahendere. Tickets are currently on sale at Rainbow Towers, New Ambassador Hotel and MedOrange Pharmacies. Standard tickets are going for $20 and VIP for $50.
Ada Ogochukwu Ehi known by her stage name Ada Ehi or simply Ada, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist. She started her musical career at the age of 10. Singing as a backup singer for child star Tosin Jegede. She launched her professional music career under Loveworld Records in 2009. Since then she has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and music videos.
In 2017, Ehi was named on YNaija’s list of “100 Influential Christian Personalities in Nigeria”. She won the 2017 Groove Awards for West African Artist of the Year; being nominated alongside Frank Edwards, Sinach, Joe Praize and the Preachers. In 2019 “Only You” was listed as one of the 20 most viewed songs of the decade from Nigeria. On 26 August 2021, she received her first YouTube Plaques for reaching 1 million subscribers on YouTube.
