Nasty C dominated the 16th Metro FM Music Awards with wins in the Best Hip-Hop Album, Best Male Album and Best New Artist awards. His breakout single, “Hell Naw” also scooped the coveted Song of the Year award.
Co-Mabala Noise stable mates Riky Rick scooped Best Hit Single for Sidlukotini, rapper Du Boiz’s “Dope Dream” won the Best Music Video and Musa Sukwene won Best African Pop Album. L’vovo also scooped the Best Kwaito Single and recent signee Kelly Khumalo scooped Best Female Album for My Truth.
Amanda Black, who was up for the most awards on the night, scooped two for Listeners’ Choice and the Best R&B Single for Separate.
