Mzuzu Fashion Week (MzFW) is a Malawian Fashion festival and showcase. The award-winning event attracts fashion-industry professionals for a showcase of Malawi and will host over 20 local and international designers this year.

To celebrate five years of Mzuzu, the Fashion week will project a cross-arts collaboration through a film-screening of Road to Sunrise, a film directed by Shemu Joyah. The film made history as the first to be submitted by Malawi in the Foreign Language Oscar category.

Mzuzu will also introduce ‘The Fashion Exchange Program’ as well as the Sip & Shop experience; an all-inclusive market for everything lifestyle.

MzFW is a showcase established by Kwanza PR and Zik Garvey that has fast become the must-attend fashion event in Malawi.

At five years old the creators would also like to do more for Malawi’s Creative Sector.

“More than simply providing a platform for local designers to promote their products, the event
hopes to inspire a new generation of fashion designers and entrepreneurs. As a whole [Mzuzu Fashion Week] has the potential to be a major contributor to Malawi’s socio-economic growth.” – Mzuzu Team (Press Announcement)
