Bulawayo-based Afro Jazz/Gospel star Vuyolwethu Ngwenya, fondly known in the music circles as Vuyo Brown, will take part in the ongoing Music in Africa Live which is hosted by Rooftop Promotions’ Theatre in the Park in Harare.

Ngwenya performs at the venue this Friday the 20th of November 2020 from 6:30 PM down to 8 PM.

Hailing from the City of Kings & Queens, her concert is among three local artists selected to perform at the Music in Africa Live series and will be the second and penultimate since the program started in October.

Due to COVID-19, there will be few tickets on sale.

In a statement to the press, Brown said she was excited and feel honored for her selection.

“For me, this is just amazing and I feel very excited and honored to have been considered in this program,” said the contemporary Christian entertainer.

He also explained that the program goes beyond the capital city to accommodate other artists.

“We are pretty excited and for us, it’s a great opportunity to be running this event for our artists. This event is not only for artists in Harare, but for the rest of the country. That is why we have invited artists from other cities like Bulawayo. We are happy to welcome Vuyo to participate in our carefully curated program,” Guzha said.

The Rooftop Promotions run Theatre in the Park is part of the African institutions partnering Music in Africa Foundation in implementing this digital showcase for musical artists in Africa.

The program adds steam to the global musical careers and responds positively to the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic on musicians.
