Mörda is the other half of the South African duo Black Motion and husband to DJ Zinhle; he is also the co-parent to Kairo, Zinhle’s first child with the late AKA. The blended family was under public scrutiny over their controversial co-parenting arrangement which saw Zinhle and AKA spend a lot of alone mum and dad time with their daughter. This sparked even more criticism as Zinhle took the death of AKA very hard, posting tonnes of stories on her Instagram in his honour.
AKA was laid to rest in a private ceremony on the 18th of February; a ceremony Mörda skipped for cultural reasons. Mörda took to his Instagram to express his regrets in a brief heartfelt message.
