The organisers of the 2024 Miss Universe Zimbabwe pageant, recently revealed the finallists for the event. The initial list of 32 went through a public fan vote and interviews, to cut it down to 18. However due to the exceeding popularity of some models, organisers decided to extend the final selection to 20 models.
Pageant licence holder and national director, Tendai Hunda, expressed that cutting down the list of models was an extremely difficult task. In an interview with The Herald she said, “Our team had a tough time selecting the best 20, as all the 32 who had qualified put up a scintillating act. They did their interviews and project presentation, which was amazing. However, we wanted 20 girls who will then vie for the coveted title come May 18.”
The final 20 models are:
Amanda Peresu (Bulawayo)
Lompopoma Khumalo (Bulawayo)
Sakhile Dube (Bulawayo)
