Lessons on Self Confidence

South Africa is currently experiencing a #cold front and now more than ever people need to be closer to their partners due to all the coldness.

Recently Controversial Superstar, Zodwa tried to reach out to Thabo her a man she used to have casual sex with. A video of her asking Thabo to warm her up and was uploaded onto Lasizwes Show and it went viral. Thabo then confirmed that they had been having sex and didn’t care what anyone thought.

Looking at these two we could learn a lot about self-confidence from Thabo and Zodwa.

What is Self Confidence?

Self-Confidence is the ability to accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control in your life.

Here’s the truth a lot of us struggle with self-confidence. We don’t trust ourselves to succeed which is why we settle for less.

How is low Self Confidence Created?

Lack of acceptance from the people around us makes us sad, disappointed, and broken. We hold onto a lot of pain which transitions with us as we grow and evolve.

Traumatic experiences keep us stuck in the past. It makes it difficult for many trust, which makes it difficult to build a real relationship due to all the holding back because they don’t want to re-experience the pain.

How can we build our self-confidence?

 1)Focus on what you are good at and amplify it.

We all have our special gifts and talents that allow us to shine and stand out. We have admirable character traits which we can put to use . Not only will this make us feel good but it will allow us to have a more positive outlook on ourselves and our lives. Figure out ways through which you could be of service to your community and the world. This will create a deep sense of fulfillment within your spirit.

2)Learning from mistakes and failures

We all at some point have made mistakes that have either forced us to live within a shell or devalue ourselves . Here’s the truth we all mistakes its inevitable. At some point, we have disappointed, angered, and saddened someone now does that make it right no but we need to remember in the midst of the storm created by doubt is that now that we know better we can do better.

A lot of people believe that they don’t deserve a second chance so they end up giving up on themselves but the truth is every new day is an opportunity for us to do better don’t forget that.

3)Work on overcoming your demons

Feeling powerless is horrible period! No one wants to feel dead in a living body. What makes it worse is when someone you love disempowers you to a point where you don’t believe you have any worth or value.

The first  attempt will always be scary and failure is likely to take place but use that failure as an opportunity to re-strategize and give yourself a better way to do things deserves to live a life where they feel like
