Korea Festival 2024: A celebration of diplomacy through culture set for Harare

On Wednesday the 18th of September, 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea will be bringing a special celebration of Korean culture to Harare. Set to be hosted at Celebration Centre, along Borrowdale Road, the Korea Festival 2024 will be a cultural celebration of 30 years of diplomatic relations between Zimbabwe and South Korea. A relationship that has been strengthened through ever growing cultural ties.

The key elements of the Korea Festival 2024, shall be exhibition booths in the afternoon and a Taekwondo performance as the evening approaches. The booths will open at 3 pm and they will be showcasing Korean Comestics, Korean Food, K-pop and Korean companies, such as automotive and technological giants KIA, Hyundai, Samsung and LG.

At 4:30 pm will be the highlight of the festival, a performance by the world-renowned Korea National Taekwondo Demonstration Team (Kukkiwon Demonstration Team). Since its foundation in 1974, the team has visited over 120 countries so far in order to introduce and promote Teakwondo and Korean culture. The Demonstration Team received the Golden Buzzer for their audition on Season 16 of America’s Got Talent, and went on to make it as far as the top 10.

The Korea Festival 2024 is family friendly and will be free to attend, it is set to be a vibrant experience celebrating diplomacy through culture.
