Harare, Zimbabwe – Zimbabwe’s stand up comedy heavyweight, King Kandoro born Mukudzei Kandoro Majoni, is set to hit the road this December with his State of the Nation Comedy Tour, an irreverent and satirical summary of the crazy year that 2025 was.
The four city tour begins in Bulawayo on December 6 at the Academy of Music, before heading to Johannesburg’s Victory Theatre on December 14, then to Cape Town’s Homecoming Centre on December 15. The tour will be wrapped up at Celebration Centre in Harare on December 20.
Joining him on the tour will be continental comedy heavyweights, Hillary Okello from Uganda and Vafa Naraghi (in the above image) from South Africa.
Kandoro hopes this marks the beginning of what will grow into an annual comedy gathering that hosts regional and international comedy stars in Zimbabwe.
The State of the Nation tour will also platform up and coming comedians who have been performing at King Kandoro’s New School Comedy Club, a monthly comedy event held at Jasen Mpepho Theatre in Harare.
It has been another busy year for the King, as he headlined Kenya’s Nairobi International Comedy Festival in August and Shoko Festival in September. He also debuted the first season of PaGrowth Point, a family game show on YouTube while still participating in his weekly podcast ‘Black & Forth’ with his comedy partner, Munashe Chirisa.
The two-time NAMA Award winning Comedian, now nicknamed ‘Mr. Sold Out’, a nod to his track record of packing out venues repeatedly and consistently. The State of the Nation tour is one to look out for.
