Kimberly “Kim Jayde” Robinson is taking on cyber bullying and speaking on mental health in a collaboration with ASA Magazine under the #FaceYourFacade campaign. In a post shared on her Instagram, the TV Host was holding up a newspaper that featured various DMs she received in a single day written as the newspapers headlines. The messages varied from “Talentless”, “Grow a thicker skin”, to the more vile “Your pussy please” and “I fuck you”.
“Every statement printed in this newspaper is a direct message or a comment I received on Instagram in a 24 hour time frame,” she said.
“When I decided to chase my dream, I never imagined it would be met with so much cruelty from total strangers via social media. It’s called “Cyberbullying”. I’ve come to learn (partly through seeking professional help) that “Hurt people – Hurt people!” And the words and actions of others are not my responsibility or burden to take on.”
Cyberbullying never existed when I was a child because Facebook, IG, Twitter @ tiktok never existed. Today our children face bullying on the playground at school and 24/7, 365 on their cellphones. Studies show it’s led to an increase in Anxiety, Depression, Self Harm, and Substance Abuse.
I’m taking part in this #FaceYourFacade campaign to use my personal experience to show you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You can get help – all you have to do is ask! You are loved! You are worthy! You are Deserving! To the bullies – I pray you heal & get the help you need too. I hope we can all be a little kinder to each other.
With love

Kim Jayde has always been vocal about self love and she’s also always been unapologetically herself. It’s no wonder 2021 has seen her involved in multiple global campaigns.
