Flourishing gospel diva and multi-award-winning songstress Janet Manyowa has spoken about her upcoming A Night Of Thanksgiving concert happening this weekend.
In a Facebook live video posted on Wednesday night, the Zadzisa hit-maker said:
‘We are very thankful to God for the opportunity to meet in December. Let me say this was not on our plan, our 2017 plan, to have this event. But we just realized, I guess it was a revelation that, you know what, it is good to meet and praise God, It is good for individuals to praise God. So we are just gonna take the time to thank God for what he has done.’
The event is set for Saturday, December 9, and will be held at Celebration Church Borrowdale at 162 Swan Drive, Borrowdale Road in Harare. The church was founded by Pastor Tom and Bonnie Deuschle.
Live in concert will be the songbird herself and other three musos which she said will be a surprise. Attendees will have a chance to experience and feed off Janet’s rich and beautiful discography in a highly thankful environment.
We, as a Christian publication are also excited about A Night Of Thanksgiving. In the busy and chaotic times in which we live and work we get easily distracted from God, our Creator and King.
As for this year, we went through some changes as a nation and as individuals. Some of these changes we like some we may not. We are lucky to be alive. We accomplished a lot of things and for that, we owe God a lot of praises and gratitude.
Therefore, A Night Of Thanksgiving set aside to give an opportunity for the church family to step away from the chaos and turn our attention to heaven. Whether you are familiar with a praying community or never prayed yourself this is an easy place to come and find space to reflect, listen, offer prayers of thanksgiving and prayer requests.
