Investments Professionals Association of Zimbabwe (IPAZ) is hosting the CFA Institute Research Challenge for tertiary students in Zimbabwe.
The annual educational challenge, which is designed to promote best practices in equity research was launched in Harare yesterday.

“We are excited about launching this educational competition in Zimbabwe as IPAZ and we hope to make a contribution in the training of prospective investment professionals,” says Ranga Makwata IPAZ board member and local host coordinator of the Research challenge.
“The competition should help university students develop their competencies in equity research, report writing and presentation. Besides competency, the challenge should also teach them to be ethical in their conduct and always put the client’s interest first before their employers’ and theirs too.”

“It is time to project Zimbabwe capital markets to investors through providing in-depth analysis of the companies we have,” Chinamo said.

SECZ sponsored the launch of the challenge that will see 8 Zimbabwean universities participating.
