Goodbye: Anita Jaxson makes her return to music alongside Boss Pumacol

After a year long sabbatical from not only music but social media, songbird Anita Jaxson has made her return. Together with dancehall chanter Boss Pumacol, the duo has collaborated on the track “Goodbye.” A sad love song centred on a rift between a couple.

In a statement announcing the collaboration, Anita Jaxson hinted that it was the first of many to come.

“I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support I’ve received from all of you. Your kind messages, checking in on me, and patiently waiting for my return have truly meant the world to me,” said Anita Jaxson

“I’m thrilled to be back and can’t wait to share the new music I’ve been working on, it’s been a labor of love, and I’m so excited for you to hear it!”

Produced by Victor Stot, “Goodbye” is a soulful Afro dancehall track is a powerful blend of emotion and rhythm that tells a story of love, heartbreak, and moving on. The lyricism is delivered with smooth vocals over an instrumental that enhances the depth of the music.

Boss Pumacol and Anita Jaxson are opposite sides of the isle, with the former hoping for reconciliation while latter says she’s gone for good. “Ndichagara ndakaringa zvimwe mudiwa wangu uchadzoka,” is met with “Ndaenda ini ndaenda, ndaenda ini ndabaya.”

The song was released with eye catching visuals that capture the essence of the bittersweet farewell.
