So, Simba Tagz may or may have not snubbed the upcoming Toya Delazy show BUT hey if it’s the former at least we know why . Young Mufasa is about to drop his new project and the grapevine is abuzz! With rumours of the tracks that will be featured, and other sections claiming they might even be some international collaborations, #ENTHUSE had to speak to Simba Tagz about the upcoming release for 5th of November.
This acclaimed Producer has made music for Skwatta Kamp, Reason and even Miami based rapper Gauge, is a force to reckon within Zimbabwe’s Music industry as he has managed to work with most of the top local acts too. His vocal prowess has seen him slaying on hooks from the KaLife, Party with Raydizz, Skubu just to mention a few. Simba’s production credits have broken into the top charts cementing his influence in both Hip Hop and Afro-Pop.
This album is surely going to be a banger and we can reveal exclusively that contrary to some rumours it will not have any international features. Tagz revealed to us his intention to drop International features a newer upcoming collaborative EP around March next year.
“What I’m trying to do is release the album and then in March, release an international collaboration EP with like 4-5 songs which has different people from different places,” he Enthused!
Expectations are high and Simba being the perfectionist that he is quite busy making sure his latest offering meets the fans’ expectations.
“The release is two weeks away and the album is pretty much done but we always feel like we could have added this or shouldn’t there be another song!”
Brand Simba Tagz is clearly in transition too, subtracting a component most fans knew and loved, Rapping.
“The whole album is afrobeat, it’s a little different from what the fans are used to , I hope they like it” he concluded
We hope so too but we can’t expect anything less from the seasoned Mr. Tagz. In the words of Chibababa Souljah Love, “Simba Tagz varatidze kuti it is your time!”
