LitFest Harare is an annual international festival that features some of our favourite things! Under the theme Visions Foretold; the festival in its fifth year includes critical discussions, debates, conversations and performances from participants as far and wide as Ireland, Scotland, Nigeria, Malawi, South Africa and of course, Zimbabwe.
One of the major highlights of the performances is a Poetry Extravaganza titled, ‘Love Letters
to Africa’, which will feature international and local poets including:
- Numero Unoma (Nigeria),
- Afric McGlinchey (Ireland/Zimbabwe),
- Africa Ukoh (Nigeria),
- Philani Nyoni(Zimbabwe),
- Madzitatiguru (Zimbabwe),
- Batsirai Chigama (Zimbabwe),
- Momo Size (Zimbabwe), and Tawona Sithole (Zimbabwe/Scotland).
LitFest Harare runs from the 28th of November to the 1st of December while the official opening night will be held at Theatre in the Park tonight, for FREE!
In addition, morning and afternoon sessions are free to attend for the public, while evening performances will attract a cover charge.
Unlike the previous editions we are excited to note slightly less academic themes in this year’s edition.
