#DailyDevotion: Wisdom Dynamics

314 0

The Bible declares in Proverbs 17:28,

“Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.”

The wise men of our times are invited to all sorts of conferences and paid just to talk. Their words are highly sought after, which stands to reason that they are not found talking at all times. As believers, when we begin to place value on our words and understand that we are made in the image of the God who used words alone for the creation process of heaven and earth; we begin to enter into another realm of wisdom and maturity. Our words become fewer but more effective.

I remember a time where the Lord was teaching me a lesson in humility and wisdom in ministry. And for a period of time, he taught me how to sit down and shut-up! The Lord began to show me that it is one thing to have a gift but another for the gift to have you.

Scripture reveals that “The spirit of a prophet is subject to the prophet.” So it is a God-given ability to be able to sit back and hold back your words; we are wiser for it at the end of the day.

Determine in your heart this morning, that you will value your words and in turn, man will begin to place a demand on them.
