#DailyDevotion: The African Struggle And Defending The Faith

335 0

The Bible reads in Proverbs 28:1,

“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a LION.”

Being African and growing up on the continent, depending on your environment, of course, may at times present opportunities of conflict with the faith that we have been called to. Many times, if not daily, things that clearly conflict with our faith are presented to the believer, and many times do they give in; and all in the name of being amicable. Yesterday, the Holy Spirit gave me a word for the Church: It’s time to be bold!!!

Growing up, we have all heard chilling tales of satanic rituals, and the idea of worshiping an evil deity was nothing more than a campfire story they would tell whilst hold torches; so I would see on the television anyway. Little ways down the road we have musicians, TV personalities, businessmen, and others that openly profess these things. My question then takes its platform; where is the boldness of the Church of today?

Apostle Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…” Can we honestly stand before the Lord one day and say, “I was unashamed?” When they ask you your totem, do you temporarily “become a monkey” to appease the elders and renounce anything ungodly at church deliverance service on Sunday morning? Food for thought.

As for me and my house, the only animal we recognize is “Shumba…” The lion of the Tribe of Judah!!!

Selah!
