#DailyDevotion: But My God!

Philippians 4:19 reads

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Paul gives the Philippians this promise only after he has emphasized to them that he had found the Lord’s grace sufficient in good times and tough times, in times of plenty and in times of lack. It would seem that gratitude and thanksgiving open up a portal of Supernatural Provision. The key to this promise is not just on the God-side of the equation- God’s provision; but also our trust in him to satisfy what we most need in Christ Jesus.

It is also noteworthy that Paul deliberately says, “But MY God shall supply all your needs”, not ‘But YOUR God shall supply…”: Meaning it is the God of the man of God that supplies your needs. The believer of today is offended when they hear “God of ‘the Pastor/Prophet’ statements,” but this has and will always be after the order of God’s pattern. Hannah knew God and would pray to but it was the God of Eli, a High priest who no longer walked right with the Lord but regardless, carried grace.

It is, therefore, my prayer for you today, that even as you connect to the grace of this Apostolic house, that “my God will supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
