Zimbabwean R&B Artist Cindy Munyavi just dropped a new single titled ‘Wabata Moyo’. In it, she collaborates with the formerly blue-eyed boy of Jah Prayzah’s Military Touch Movement, Andy Muridzo.
Produced by Elton Bryce and Zambia’s DJ Dro; Wabata Moyo is a breezy love song firmly grounded in R&B with a hint of Afro flavour. Andy Muridzo gives us a vocal surprise with some scatting, the added husk to his voice brings some welcomed sex-appeal but uncovers his lyrical failings.
We also like the fact that Andy Muridzo is trying new things but…
For the better part of his bit, I can’t understand what vaMuridzo is saying but, I am enjoying it all the while and that has to count for something! Right?
Cindy Munyavi’s vocals carry the song through almost effortlessly and while listening; one can’t help but generate the visuals of a summer love story in it’s purest form. Is Cindy in love? Who is this about?
Speaking to #ENTHUSE Cindy said,
“This song is for hopeless romantics, for lovers, I wrote this song for lovers and that is all I can say.”
Even if she won’t admit it, this is clearly coming from a good place and we’re happy if she’s joined the #LoveLivesHere squad. Cindy Munyavi also promised to release the video this October.
Listen to Wabata Moyo below, tell us what you think, is this a Summer Love Soundtrack?
