Following up on his success of #FillUpTheDome in October 2016, ’New Age Doc Shebeleza’ couldn’t help but outdo himself this year having twice the attendance showing us how deserving of the coveted MTV Africa Music Best Live Performance Award he recently scooped this year.
It was at this year’s MAMA’S Red Carpet where the world got introduced to the new ponytail-less Cassper, who explained his decision to have his famous ponytail removed owing to his growth as an artist and his step into the corporate side of the Music Industry.
Mixed emotions and reactions towards the removal of the ponytail have flooded the web, an accessory slash style Cassper is rumoured to have had since he was a child.
“I didn’t know how much of an emotional attachment people had to do it. Even the guy who was cutting my hair was like, ‘man I can’t believe you’re making me do this’. I’m growing up bro, my brand is growing is growing up, I’m a CEO now. It’s time for me to boss up and clean up”

Speaking of growing up while we were all enjoying at #ZimBiggestBraai; Cassper Nyovest and AKA joined the movement all the way in Jo’burg and braai-ed their ‘beef’! Judging from pictures circulating on the net showing the two rappers hugging at Taboo where Cassper was celebrating his #FillUpOrlando achievement, there may be hope that they may have smoked the peace pipe. From Twitter rants, diss tracks and the low blows, all that that seems to have placed behind. Or maybe AKA can now stand Cassper because he cut off his ponytail?!
We are glad anyway that what people termed ‘The biggest Hip Hop beef in Africa’ is finally a closed chapter…. or is it? Whatever it may be it’s a good starting point considering there is now talk in the ‘Twitter streets’, of fans a vying for a Cassper and AKA #FillUpFNB . Wouldn’t that be fire though?
