It seems one of Zimbabwe’s favorite celebrity couples has called it quits. Carl Joshua Ncube and Nelsy Ncube are set to get a divorce. This comes a few weeks after the couple celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. In a statement posted on his Facebook, Carl Joshua Ncube revealed he had asked his wife for a divorce and he cited his mental health issues as part of the cause for the deterioration of his marriage. He also asked for privacy while he and his wife were handling this matter.
“This week I asked my wife for a divorce. We have not been getting along for a while, added to the fact that I am also going through depression and my health has been steadily deteriorating. After many discussions, we have decided to go on separation while I seek professional help for my depression so that after this process, we can have a chance to deal with our marriage through counseling. As such we are just kindly requesting some time to deal with some huge issues privately if you can allow us that. Thank you.”
The couple got married back in 2012 in a beautiful ceremony held in the Bahamas. In 2018 they once hinted that they were considering adopting children. They were presently pursuing rural life while trying to promote rural tourism and building tourist accommodations for the wide utilization of Zimbabwe’s natural resources. Following the divorce announcement, Nelsy Ncube deactivated her Facebook and we’re not sure if it’s due to all the pressure from the divorce news or just a personal decision.
