Carl Joshua Ncube Calls Out BancABC

It seems Carl Joshua Ncube has taken a note out Mihlali Ndamase’s book as he took to social media to call out one of his corporate debtors in BancABC Zimbabwe. In the post that had a satirical tone to it, there was a screenshot of BancABC’s Instagram post featuring Carl at their SME Expo with the caption, “When you solve a problem that’s how you grow a brand. We are in business” and it was a quote from Carl’s speech at the event.

Carl wrote that it was ironically for him to be invited to speak about artists earning from their craft and then not get paid.

The irony of being invited by a fellow artist Patience Musa to speak at an #SMEBusinessExpo to speak about Artists Monetizing their Art… then not getting paid… well played BancABC Zimbabwe and team.

In replying to comments on his post, Carl Joshua further defended his position, saying he was just acting how any business would, creating a black list of companies that don’t like to honour their debt the same way that they would put us all over the notice boards if we don’t pay for their services and taking our homes if we don’t honour loans.

The comedian went on to explain that the issue wasn’t simply about the money he was owed but the principle involved.

Note that the money owed to me by BancABC has nothing to do with the cash itself what I need them to understand is the consequences of shoplifting and thinking they can get away without paying for the services that they have picked from the shelves.

The bank had yet to reply to Carl on social media but many people had replied to the tweet calling on them to honour their debts.
