“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4
We find, in our Christian walk, how that when we become born again; so many changes but so much remains the same. There is a lingering feeling that we are made righteous in Christ, to the degree we can not do the same things, speak the same language, and hang out at the same places.
Our spirits have been regenerated! All this, yet in business, we may still struggle. Academically, we may fail even more than we did before. Financially, we may still remain broke.
The above scripture sheds light on this mystery of how a Born-Again Believer may undergo such experiences. The Bible declares “for WHATsoever is born of God,” not “for WHOsoever is born of God…” This stands to reason that you may be born again but your money isn’t. You may be born again but your business isn’t.
When you are born again you become subject to God’s Word and so obey it. Likewise when you pay tithe, “your money” has fallen subject to God’s Word and thus obeys it…It is born again…And no crashing economies of this world can affect it!!!
It is, therefore, my prayer for you this morning, that whatsoever is yours would be born again and overcome the world!!!
