It’s not raining at all for Jah Prayzah, its pouring! That type of torrent that kept Wizkid in his room when fans braved possible colds and there was no show-up. Is Davido about to do the same to Zimbabwean fans? The OBO maestro is currently in hot soup back in his home country Nigeria after two of his close friends both died in the last 10 days.

DJ Olu and Tagbo Umeiko both passed on, under mysterious circumstances but Tagbo’s case seems to have sucked Davido in, threatening any movement he might want to do outside of Nigeria. Yesterday, Davido was invited to a meeting with the investigative team at Lagos Island. It was however unclear if he was being charged with any crime but the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Imohimi Edgal, revealed contrary to what Davido said before, new evidence suggests that he knew that his friend was rushed to the hospital and he might even be the one who ordered it.

Davido’s problems are not being made better after Commissioner Edgal released a statement saying,

“However, investigation revealed that Davido’s white Toyota Hilux escort driver, Tunde Usutu, accompanied by one Agbeje Olaoye and one Idris Busari, both Davido’s friends, took the deceased to the General Hospital and abandoned him in his vehicle on the instruction of Davido. The CCTV footage at the hospital picked the escort vehicle and the entire activity. The vehicle was recovered from Davido’s residence at 7, Awoshika Street, Lekki Phase 1. This completely debunks Davido’s claim that he did not know how the deceased got to the General Hospital. The interim autopsy report stated that the victim died of asphyxia, which means suffocation. At the end of this fresh round of investigation, I will tell Lagosians our findings.” – Vanguard Nigeria

Zimbabwe’s  golden boy who is launching an album tomorrow with a joint concert with Davido, who he collaborated with, might be left high and dry if the Nigerian superstar fails to make it for the concert. The ticket prices which have been called exorbitant by in some circles might also fail to be justified if the If hitmaker is a no-show.

Not only is Jah Prayzah’s album launch in jeopardy, but also the remaining legs of Davido’s ‘30 Billion Africa Tour‘.  All we can do now is wait for the detail and that they favour Jah’s fortunes!
