Award-winning Gospel musician and the Redeemed talk show host Janet Manyowa walked home with the Outstanding Female Musician trophy at the just ended 17th National Arts Merit Awards this past weekend, marking this the first NAMA win for the singer.
Manyowa won over her stellar contenders Ammara Brown and Selmor Mtukudzi.
Kudzai Musungo, an actress from the TV drama focuses on church scandals Muzita Rababa beat Gamuchirai Dube from Kushata Kwemoyo and Nothando Nobengula from Like a Good Woman Should on the Outstanding Actress Award.
National Arts Merit Awards celebrates the accomplishments of Arts in Zimbabwe in the fields of visual arts, television, media, dance, music, literature, and film.
