Along with good preaching, gospel music is the cornerstone of the church. The soulful tones and heartfelt lyrics draw in the believer and non-believer alike.

It has the power to uplift, encourage, rejuvenate and compel the most hardened heart to worship the Lord, at the same time earning the musicians a living. Something so vital to the success of the ministry and personal growth must be cultivated and perfected through prayers, practice, shrewd investment and education.

That and so much more is what the Zimbabwe International Gospel Music Arts (ZINGOMA) seeks to achieve with its series of gospel music seminars.

Following the success of the 28th October seminar held at Courtney Hotel in Harare in 2017, this year ZINGOMA is going to host series of these same events in each and every province, starting with Bulawayo Metropolitan Province this weekend.

The Seminar which will be hosted under the theme, “Uniting Kings And Queens For A Common Cause” this Saturday, 10 February at City of Christ International Ministries is aimed at giving more light in the many challenges faced by gospel musicians today in respect of the Bulawayo gospel music space.

It will commence at 9.00am to 4.00pm.

We are yet to be informed of the facilitators and speakers on the upcoming seminar, but we have a good feeling it will be huge.

The 28th October 2017 seminar was facilitated by the iconic Pastor G who presented on the lifestyle of a Gospel artist and promoter Mr Reginald Chapfunga who treated the topics of organizing a successful Gospel music show and music marketing and distribution respectively. Other speakers were producer Pastor Antony Gasani who presented on music production, and financial expert and film producer Mr Leonard Chibhamu who shared on financing a sustainable music industry.

ZINGOMA’s objectives among other issues include creating a platform for gospel artists to network and exchange ideas; facilitate, support and accelerate the development of a financially viable and sustainable music industry; and promoting and packaging Zimbabwe gospel music for the global market.

It is a theoretical and very practical seminar with lectures and dialogues that also include very interesting meetings with stakeholders who survived and are ready to speak about their secrets and answers of the industry. Be ready to open your mind and be inspired, to improve technically and to grow spiritually. Be ready to develop your vision for life as an artist.
