The winners of the 18th annual Zim Achievers Awards (UK) were unveiled last night at the Grange City Hotel in London.
Among those bestowed in this year’s most illustrious awards show was Gospel artist Minister Michael Mahendere.
The distinguished entertainer was awarded the International Gospel artist of the year.
Those who went up against Mahendere in the same division included Sabastian Magacha, Rev TT Chivaviro, Janet Manyowa, and Carol Nyakudya.
The International Gospel Artist award recognises Zimbabwean musicians across global horizons.
Winner will have exhibited exceptional musicianship covering songwriting, instrumentation and singing (recorded and live performances), and have demonstrated outstanding musicianship in taking Gospel music to another height.
This year the Zim Achievers Awards rode under the theme Plough Back.
The awards celebrated several academics and businessmen, including prominent African jeweller, Patrick Mavros and Legal Practitioner, Taffi Nyawanza.
The event was proudly sponsored by Fintech Company, WorldRemit and Funeral Service Provider, Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan.
