The Book is out!

Well, that took a while…

After a cool 4 years of slaving in front of my typewriter, I Deserve to Be: Self-worth Is a Silent killer (2018, SJ Publishing) is available on these inter-web streets. Writing this book is something I’ve always wanted to do since I was a kid. I’ve always been a fan of the culture and everything that comes with it.

Human stress – as it should be – is at an all-time high.

The world is a near 8 billion people and each one of us is a thirst trap waiting to happen. I believe society has become numb. We are numb and number by the day trying to cope with the demands of 21st-century life. Zimbabwe has been one hell of a thirst trap that has happened to us all.

Depression is real.

If you’ve been following this column, I’ve been saying that everyone has 4 problems in life and they always show up as sex, money, manhood and power. Well, what is sex? What is money? What is manhood? What is power? Everyone has their own definitions and we are reinventing wheels that don’t need reinvention – without adult supervision.

Let’s cut a long story short.

Most of us out here have pathetic adult supervisors whether it’s at home, at school, at church or at work. People who won’t want to admit that the human condition has a learning curve. People would rather froth and foam at the mouth than to admit that we “don’t get it!” A big part of the problem is in you believing that some things in life are “cast in stone.” What a Stone Age Mosaic, of a shit load of nonsense!

To quote the stone, well, itself, “Suffer little children.”

My book is for grown folk. While you won’t need a dictionary by your side, parental guidance is advised because your charity begins at home. Me; I’m running a business. The e-book costs US$9.99 at sonnyjermain.com and for my locals can hit me up on WhatsApp while promotional e-stocks last for a soft copy at US$4.99.

Come to meet me this Friday at the National Gallery in Harare as I read parts of the book, do a live Q & A to the backdrop of funky-ass music from Fungai Nengare by the fire because yaaaas, I will be packing that adult heat, $5 bucks get you in and all the info you need is here.
