As we gear up for the biggest New Years Party of the continent, the Jameson Vic Falls Carnival, we give to you some of the tracks that might get people shaking their bum bums at the Carnival. This is a compilation of some of the top Afro-Pop favourites with an international twist. The list covers most of the genres that are rocking local stations. This track has gotten Zimbabweans loving Oliver Mtukudzi’s Neria again. Centurion patrons will know this as their kiss the floor jam!

 

Probably one of the best tracks this year coming out of West Africa! No touching on the dance floor, leave the ladies to their body shaking guys!

 

Babes We Doom, Babes We Mosaic, Babes We Whatever! You just wont believe the names thatv people came up as a result Babes Wo Dumo’s debut single. Probably one of the biggest House track this year. Its a banger, treat it like one on the dancefloor!

 

Mr Eazi is the ladies favourite. You already know what happens when this track drops.

 

This track is relatively new but has managed to create shockwaves across Africa. Mr Kamera might have found the right springboard for his career. Our favourite!

 

Chibababa came through with the original track which was produced by PTK on the Take Cover Riddim. But producer 6ix Beats remade it and this track just cemented its place as one of the greatest ZimDancehall tracks.

The West meets the South in a clash of genres to produce a banger. New kid on the block Nasty C proved that he can rumble with the big guns with a fire verse on this track. Where are the cool kids at?

 

Sjava is fast becoming a household name in SA Hip Hop after laying one of the best hooks this year on Ameni. This Zulu rapper hits us with tribal chants that bring out the African in us. All we have to say is, Vuraaaaaaaa!

 

The incarcerated Jamaican chanter still remains the King of Dancehall. This is one of the best club bangers coming out of Jamaica at the moment. Adija Palmer is officially a living legend!

 

Have you ever had a girl’s attention stolen from you by your best friend whilst you are still macking on her? That’s what Tocky Vibes did on this track to 8L! Tocky aenda nengoma yemumwe! Guaranteed banger!
