Can We Be Honest About The YEDU Mirai Cypher & Music Video?

The Mirai music video featuring EL Deeper x Schingy & Brythreesixty is a Rap cypher. You know what that is right?!  It’s when a couple of MC (Rappers) get together and spit (speak) pre-written Rhymes. Back in the day it was the same thing but mostly all freestyles. They are actually pretty dope but this particular Cypher it is a whole different kind of story. It made feel some type of way, you know that time when you don’t know whether it is bad or good in a few words it left with mixed feelings.

To quench your curiosity, the music video was so mediocre if it wasn’t for the superb video quality we actually wouldn’t have anything to talk about. The video was crispy and clear even though the bars didn’t live up to the same standard. The lines were a real mess, sketchy, and a little weak to be honest.

The first few minutes into it Schingy had me trying to decipher what on earth he was saying – obviously not a good thing! He could have hooked the watcher/ listeners attention but the Rap was off beat and was drowning in the beat’s volume.  Brythreesixty on the other hand really let me down reminding me of his song Konzeresa which once had me going but he didn’t live up to the expectations. As for EL Deeper’s had a little bit of sauce but we can’t really say he was bad ass.

Well we have to give them credit for trying, hopefully next time they will drop a cypher worth hearing. Comparing this to other cyphers like ‘The Basement Cypher’ featuring Jay Dumza, Psyko Tektonic, Valzie Veinz, Loftkizzle and Dj Kead Wikead on the decks, the effort for this one was sadly below average.
