Are Your Online Friends, Your Real Friends?

It turns the world is now centered on social media . We boast about having many followers on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. Whose company you have never felt  or you meet once in awhile, worst case scenario it is accidentally. Without the virtual presence, life has become lonely than we care to admit. We may pass time by tweeting the happenings of our day, quotes or gossip, but really, social media has actually exposed our pathetic reliance and web-depended lives.

What is the worth of a friend? I mean a real friend not some followers on twitter who are unpredictable. If presented an opportunity they will troll your ass real bad. The worth of a tangible friendship, the giggling and late lunch get togethers. Sadly it has gone far away from our reach. The idea of sourcing companionship is good, but is social media the solution? Or it only creates a dependency and antisocial syndrome to physical beings around.

There is value of having a true friend that tells the truth as it is without coating it or icing it. Surely you will not find such on social media, if you do then lucky you (you one in a million). Social media friendship is built on fragile fantasies (lies), it is all about giving favors with hidden expectations. I mean that it is like, ‘ if I got your back, I expect you to do so even if I might be wrong’. Such a clique right? With real friends it is, reward the good and dissolve the bad.

Life is too short to waste time displaying on your timeline what is contrary to what your heart is battling with. Friendship is priceless, the phenomenon of social media has ruined the old school type of friendship and even family interaction. Interacting face to face makes you know exactly all the archetypes of friends. Contrary social media is prone to fake people who pretend and portray fake lives just to fit and suit the current trend.

If you are an anomy and still have real friends left treasure that. If not, try something novel this time around, it may be wise to make new and real friends.
