African Dynasties is a brief animated show which gives quick historical facts about figures who helped liberate Africa. Created by young Zimbabwean Creatives, the 2D Animation is used as a means to give it appeal to young audiences. Their first episode is based on Winnie Madikizela Mandela and launched on Africa Day.
One of the creators Michael Mupotaringa said
We decided to begin with a motherly figure…we have a special spot for female unsung heroes.
