Tributes pour in for Gospel singer Arnold Mlalazi

Johannesburg-based Zimbabwean trilingual gospel musician and the voice behind the hit song Thula Moyo Wami Arnold Mlalazi has died.

Born on December 3, 1988, the 29 years old muso was announced dead on Sunday afternoon, Jan 7.

Less has been disclosed of the cause of his demise, but it was a sickness complication as he made it known on his official Facebook account three months ago.

His death has been met with an outpouring of sadness from fans and other singers from several social media platforms.

National Broadcaster Radio Zimbabwe also paid their tribute.

Family and friends also shared their commiseration.

‘Rest in God’s internal peace my uncle’
Minister Tinashe, a snowballing gospel artist who had plans to collaborate with the deceased also felt robbed of a would-have-been-a-great-opportunity for them. He wrote:
‘I remember asking hime to work with me on my project, Rest in peace my brother,, I thought we were stil going to do the album together but anyway kuita kwaMwari hatingabvunze,, gone too soon Arnold’
One fan Zvikomborero Mandibatsira commented on his Thula Moyo Wami video:
‘Great piece .It reminds me of my days when I was still in school way back,this song was a hit.REST in eternal peace bro,your legacy will remain forever’
And as Hallelujah Mag we also send our deepest condolences to the family, relatives, and mostly to the fans who made him who he became in our country. We are with a deep sense of grief and sadness at losing such a young life who was helping to further the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through his music. And like he said in his breakout song Thula Moyo Wami we will meet with him soon home with the coming of our King Jesus.
