From the analogue age, when the quickest way to hear a brand new song was through a two-band radio, to an era when caste tape playing in boombox or Walkman with boys in big baggy pants and T-shirts. To an era when 700mb Princo CDs were a must-have if you’re a music collector. To now a current era when the latest music isn’t hard to find. Through all these periods, Zambian Music has been transitioning and adapting according to the trends and to just show that. I have put together a playlist named “Zambian Urban Hits” featuring artists from different eras. The playlist is focusing much on how the sound has evolved through time and how Zambian musicians are making hits for the people.

The playlist features one of Zambia’s first rappers Chisenga Formally Known Crisis Mr Swagger to Zambia’s new age rappers and singers.
