The Hangout Duo Show, A New View On African Creativity

150 0

Introducing The Hangout Duo hosted show by a Cape Town-based Zimbabwean twosome on a mission to spotlight dope creatives in their area code. Mitchelle Mbele and Donovan Faranando are two driven creativity lovers who have taken it into their hands to explore entertainment, brands, events, fashion and youth entrepreneurship, via an online youth-oriented show.

When we discovered these guys we had questions about them launching the show outside of Zimbabwe and if it will be beneficial to creatives from their home country. Interestingly they had already covered that base and Donovan told #ENTHUSE that Zimbabwean creatives in the Cape are one of their biggest targets and three have already been in the show.

The duo came up with the idea at a coffee shop in May but with only two months in action, the team has done amazing things. They have been funding the show up to now but there are other partners who have managed to chip in and help build the dream. These creatives who believed in Mitchelle and Donovan’s dream areĀ Aidan Jeptha of Aidan J who is sponsoring our wardrobe and Frank Mukendi of Mukendi Photography.

The team has been working tirelessly stocking their episodes and they are ready to launch! Their first episode premieres end of August and it features Boris Van Haupt a musician, Phile Mazibuko a graphic designer and Denver Nazima an upcoming model. The show will be available on Facebook and on the shows YouTube page. They plan to roll out the show on TV in future and we have no doubt that this will be real soon!
