Introducing the Big Girl, Small World Travel Blogumn with Stephanie

"I figured a few shares of my journeys would inspire someone"

Hie, I’m Stephanie!

It’s the weirdest thing for me to introduce myself or to shamelessly promote my own experiences but as a 1,6-ish meter tall and over 100kgs African Woman of Colour; with what many would term a ‘coconut’s’ taste for varying back-pack and luxury adventure travel ambitions…I figured a few shares of my journeys would inspire someone to…I dunno, explore just a little bit more and not be confined to the social aesthetics of Travel I guess!

I started this Column that’s, well, a Blog-kinda because I realized that while it’s exciting to see some really awesome black, African women diving into the once elite waters of African and Global Travel. They almost always have these amazing chiselled bodies, fancy clothes and face beats that make you want to ‘travel’ down the never-ending portal of YouTube Make-up tutorials.

So! At the risk of no-one reading this, I thought it would be cool to share on how an everyday big-small-town-girl gets a bit leisurely as she shrugs off the fear that comes from silly statements like, “oh I’m too big to do that!”.

Hopefully, we can break a few of these shells together.

Welcome to Big Girl, Small World.
