The Festival Of Speed Promises Unforgettable Action
It’s around midnight on Angwa Street. There is little action around the corner where a Chicken Slice is located as people get a late night bite. Slowly, modified sports cars mostly ex-Japanese imports start to trickle into the street, parking in Angwa Street opposite a car park that used to be Harare hustler Central, Ximex Mall.
This is the build to the illegal drag racing scene in Harare ladies and gentleman. The real Need for Speed. However, the big players with the really superb engines are found at Donnybrook Raceway. Racers who include amateurs and professionals who own cars specifically made for the sport, head to the asphalt in a battle of engine power.
